In October 2010, AFAMAR (Association of Families of People with Alzheimer’s Disease of Merindades) requested ASAMIMER (Association of Aid to People with Intellectual Disability of Merindades) to transport a user, taking advantage of the fact that their route passed through a common village. This was the start of a collaboration that has gradually increased. Today, the different associations of the Merindades territory – in the province of Burgos – have reached an agreement concerning timetables, prices of trips and service conditions so that members of each association can make use of the transport means proposed by the consortium. A good way to facilitate mobility for disabled persons.
