Bioeconomy: How to Build Effective Regional Strategies?

The 20th March 2015, ERRIN (European Regions Research and Innovation Network) and ERIAFF (European Regions for Innovation in Agriculture, Food and Forestry) organised the event “Boosting Economic Growth and Facilitating Investments through the Bioeconomy: How to Build Effective Regional Strategies?” in partnership with the Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC) and the European Bioeconomy Alliance.

The event aimed at raising awareness on the potential of Bioeconomy in delivering regional, national and European sustainable growth and jobs objectives. The organisers wanted to highlight bioeconomy as a new regional tool for organising the regional economies, allowing the production of more from less and limiting the negative impacts of the environment and moving Europe towards a post-petroleum society.

The output from the event will be integrated in a consensus document, which intends to support the implementation of regional bioeconomy strategies.
You can check the presentations of the event here.
