Distance learning for adults and CIT in the rural areas

Adult education centre “Cuenca Minera” of Montalbán (Teruel) has created a mentor class with the aim of providing all kind of students with flexible high quality distance learning. This method has been set up all over Spain and South America, where this is the only training possibility. It has been therefore implemented to bring closer education to the most distant and depopulated places, to narrow the disparities between the rural and the urban areas, to increase employability and to be used as a model for future distance learning, which is essential in the rural areas.

This initiative was presented as a good practice in the project PADIMA (Policies against depopulation in mountain areas). If you want to learn more, read the presentation of the initiative. (Only available in Spanish).
