Don’t miss the chance: the second call for Interreg Sudoe has just been launched!

The Interreg Sudoe Programme has opened its second call for proposals for 2017. The Second Call for Proposals for the 2014-2020 period is  available and this year is primarily set for two thematic priorities funded with a ERDF Budget of € 25 million. The budget is distributed as follows: € 16 million for Research and Innovation and € 9 million for Environment resource efficiency.

It is significant to mention that project developers will have to submit their application through eSudoe the online application of the programme, specific forms and templates will be provided once signed up.

The deadline for submitting online applications to step 1 of the call is 31st March 2017 at 12:00 CET at the latest.

If you are interested to submit a proposal on mountain areas and are looking for partners, do not hesitate to contact the Secretariat of Euromontana, as several of our members are eligible for this call.

Today, Euromontana had the pleasure to take part in the journalist training course “Transizione ecologica nelle aree montane: biodiversità, cambiamento climatico e sviluppo sostenibile”, organised by Università della Montagna with the Ordine dei Giornalisti della Lombardia (the Lombardy Association of Journalists 📰)The course, bringing together 65+ participants, focused on how to better understand and report on ecological transition in mountain areas, from biodiversity and climate change to sustainable development ⛰️👉This matters because the way mountain areas are reported shapes the way they are understood and, ultimately, the way they are governed!We were pleased to join our member UNIMONT in this exchange. Prof. Anna Giorgi highlighted the need to change the way mountain areas are perceived, beyond fragility and marginality. Stefano Sala then showed how issues such as depopulation, winter tourism, climate change and public policy require a more nuanced reading of mountain realities 🔍 For Euromontana, Guillaume Corradino brought a European perspective to the discussion.
