Euromontana welcomes a new member: Poliedra

poliedra logoPoliedra, in Italy, is officially a new member of Euromontana. Poliedra is a consortium of the Polytechnic University of Milan (Politecnico di Milano) that specializes in applied research and consultancy in the areas of environmental integration and assessment, sustainable mobility, enhancement of cultural heritage, governance, participation and decision support systems. Poliedra’s approach is interdisciplinary and encompasses a wide range of competences: engineering and environmental sciences, transport engineering, territorial and environmental planning, economics, landscape geography and conservation of cultural heritage, agriculture and rural development, applied research and facilitation of processes.

Poliedra’s interest in mountain areas arises from the consortium’s experience with poliedra 2regional Managing Authorities and in supporting Lombardy’s Environmental Authority in the definition and actualization of the trans-boundary Italy-Switzerland operational programme, which is especially focused on mountain and foothill area.

Moreover, Poliedra provides technical assistance and focus on sustainability for Lombardy’s Rural Development Programme, which supports mountain agriculture and mountain areas in general.
