Euromontana’s booklet of good practices for a sustainable recovery in European mountains

As we start a new year, Euromontana releases its annual collection of initiatives, showcasing inspiring good practices from all over Europe (UE and non-UE). This booklet is the result of the exchange of good practices carried out by Euromontana in 2020, in order to promote initiatives capable of supporting a sustainable recovery and of building smarter mountains.

From access to health to rural broadband, mobility, mountain agriculture and products, energy, sustainable tourism and climate change, among others, these good practices demonstrate that alternatives exist to enhance the quality of life of mountain communities and foster sustainable development in our regions.

How can distance learning support the maintenance of small schools in mountain villages? How can a mountain village make a smart use of its natural assets to produce sustainable energy? How can access to basic health services can be ensured thanks to social innovation and cross-border cooperation? How can youth be better included in public decisions and governance in mountain areas? Find out in our 2021 booklet of initiatives for a sustainable recovery in European mountains!

Do you want to share your initiative with other mountainous regions? Send us your good practice!
