RUMRA, the EP Intergroup on Rural, Mountainous and Remote Areas, has launched its website

From now on, you can not only find online information on the structure of the new RUMRA intergroup of the European Parliament and its members, but also learn more about news, events and updates by visiting its new web site.

This intergroup on Rural, Mountainous and Remote Areas was officially launched in March 2015 and aims at standing for those living in non-urbanised areas of Europe, which are often underrepresented in public dialogue. Mercedes Bresso, Member of the European Parliament, if the president of this initiative. Together with Mrs. Bresso, three grass-root organisations: Euromontana, Rurality – Environment – Development (R.E.D) and the Future of Rural Energy in Europe (FREE initiative) were responsible of the creation of this intergroup. Nowadays, the intergroup is supported by a wide range of civil society movements and also by a growing number of Members of the European Parliament.
