In 2019, December 11th did not only mark International Mountain Day but also the launch of the European Green Deal by the newly elected von der Leyen Commission. The European Green Deal is intended to be a comprehensive and integrated approach of climate action, serving as a basis for all European policies and supporting all EU countries in reaching European climate targets. The proposed measures cover different EU policies from agriculture to innovation and mobility.
