The Green Deal calls, the last funding stream under the Horizon 2020, has been finally launched by the European Commission. The political objectives and a detailed presentation for each thematic call have been the subject of discussion during the virtual Research and Innovation Days on September 22-24,2020.
The Green Deal calls are intended to envision the next European future, also to enhance the recovery from COVID-19, and pave the way towards Horizon Europe. For this reason, participation is of strategic interest for mountain areas. Highlighting the contribution that mountain areas can have to deliver the European digital and green transition, as well as their needs to be not left out should be underlined via international cooperation.
